Environmental Conservation: 6 ways to conserve the environment
INTRODUCTION:
An ecological crisis occurs when the environment of species or a population changes in a way that destabilises its continued survival. There are many possible causes of such crises. There are also threats to the Environment
It may be that the quality of the environment degrades to the disadvantage of the species need after a change of abiotic ecological factor. For example, an increase in temperature, less rainfall. It may be that the environment becomes unfavurabe for the survival of a species of a population die to an increased pressure of predation. Lastly, it may be the the situation becomes unfavorable to the quality of life of the species de to increase in the number of individuals.
IN ORDER TO CONSERVE YOUR ENVIRONMENT:
PLANT A TREE: Plant a tree or grow a garden. Plants turn carbon dioxide into the oxygen we need to breathe. Trees also help keep the soil germ eroding away, and they give animals like birds and squirrels a lace to live. You can grow plant indoors, too. Try growing some salad green or herbs, that you can eat, on your windowsill.
RIDE YOUR BICYCLE: When you do not have far to go, try riding your bicycle or walking instead of getting a ride in a car. You will help save energy, lessen the amount of air pollution, and you will keep healthy and fit too!
SAVE ELECTRICITY: Turn off the lights when you leave the room ad turn off the radio and TV when you are not using them.
SAVE WATER: DIDYOU KNOW? that you can save an average of 45 liters of water if your turn the faucet off while you are brushing your teeth!
KEEP THE EARTH BEAUTIFUL: Help keep the earth beautiful by helping to keep your neighbourhood clean. Why no help organize a Litter Clean-Up Day at our school or in our neighbourhood.
RECYCLE; Recycle cans, bottles and newspapers. This reduces the amount of trash that ends up in our landfills. Stop using plastic bags.
