Threats to Environment: Natural threats and human threats
Introduction
Threats to the Environment
There are many threats to the Environment. These threats are divided into 2 categories. Natural threats and Human threats. Natural threats consists of earthquakes, volcanic eruption, landslides and cyclones.
Human mediated threats consists of deforestation, destruction of habitat and pollution.
Natural threats
Earthquakes
Earthquake is a trembling or shaking movement of the earth's surface. Most earthquakes are minor tremors. Larger earthquakes usually begin with slight tremors but rapidly take the form of one or more violent shocks and end in vibrations of gradually diminishing force called aftershocks.
Volcano
